THE ACTIVATION
The Gift Box popped up inside H&M stores in select cities throughout November and December.
A unified, sustainably built experience that travelled across Europe and the United States, that provided a surprise and delight moment for the H&M customers. Allowing hundreds of customers to take part in a unique DIY experience and show off their creativity during the holiday season across five countries, six cities, and two continents. The activation was then amplified through strategic influencer partnerships in each city.
We reimagined the holiday gift-wrapping experience, allowing customers to enter a bespoke immersive gift-wrapping space designed to resemble the iconic red H&M holiday boxes. Inside, guests were greeted with a myriad of choices to customise, design and wrap their presents, creating a truly unique experience. The central wrapping station allowed guests to engage with one another and join in on the fun of gift wrapping. Participants in each city were encouraged to enter the Prize Draw – with one winner in each market awarded a generous H&M gift card.
To bring to life the magic of the holiday season through an engaging, immersive, and locally relevant in-store experience for guests across Europe and the United States, helping drive long-lasting emotional connections with customers.

The Gift Box was a global solution designed to provide a cohesive brand experience across multiple markets. To reflect the unique aspects of each local market, we included customisation options that allowed guests in every city to decorate their wrapped presents with iconic attributes of their home city.
